The engine bay is extremely tidy, the cargo area is tidy and the chrome bumpers fit tightly to the body.This F-body rolls on Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires, size 225/70R14 at all four corners. Each tire is mounted to a factory turbine-style alloy wheel. The wheels and tires are all in very good order.Under the counterbalanced hood is a 350 CID Turbo-Fire V-8 engine (code L48) with aluminum heads and Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap intake manifold with a one-inch phenolic high-riser; a dual-feed 670 CFM Holley Street Avenger four-barrel carburetor with an electric choke. There is a high-energy ignition system, a chrome fuel pump and a set of ceramic headers and a strong cam then the engine breathes via Flowmaster dual exhausts. It’s dressed up with a nice set of polished finned valve covers and chrome pulleys, water pump, bracket and air cleaner. Backing this motor is a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission with correct Hurst shifter and a multi-leaf, 12-bolt rear end with 3.31:1 gearing. Driver convenience features include a new, vintage air-conditioning system, power recirculating ball steering and power disc/drum brakes. The X55 trim code is a base car with SS350 rear fender louvers and black body sill.Inside is a beautifully contrasting Ivory vinyl interior. The front, folding bucket seats are in great shape with contrasting black carpeting. A deluxe three-spoke steering wheel looks great, as do the white inner door panels and black dashboard. There is a factory tachometer, a black center console with woodgrain appliqué and four Autometer gauges look great and correct Hurst shifter. An Autosound AM/FM stereo fills the gap in place of the original AM radio.
